Going to Oklahoma tomorrow.

I don't know why but I am not as excited as I thought I would be to leave. Maybe it is cause my scrap life is in total disarray right now and I need to be home doing some serious organizing. Or maybe it is because I am a little stressed about leaving a house full of sickies and things that only mom will take care of. Nervous about that I guess. Maybe it is because I haven't felt good myself or the fact that I am still not packed. Ugh! I have to leave in about 14 hours and I have so much to do. So I thought I would sit and blog a little before I leave and make a list of all I have to do when I get home.
1. Clean my craft room.
2. Organize bookshelves in playroom.
3. Start on LSSC layout.
4. Take Makenna to see the first Narnia movie.
5. Order bookshelves for Living room.

Hey I feel much better now. I guess I really don't have that many things to do that can't wait. Or haven't already been waiting forever. Anyway, I guess I better get packed so I can start feeling the excitement. I am however really excited to scrapbook for a whole day!!!
And I am really looking forward to meeting all my online friends that live in Oklahoma. OK now I am talking myself into being more excited. Signing off until Sunday!

Where has time gone?

Wow! It is already the 27th of December. Where in the world are my days flying off to? I have had a wonderful year full of more blessings than I deserve. We all enjoyed the holiday season but got sick for Christmas. Man did it hit us all BAD. Anyway I was feeling so yucky that I am just getting around to posting the rest of these pictures. These are the pictures that we had done two weeks ago. I love them all!

The Loves of My Life!

I absolutely love this picture we had taken about two weeks ago. Mason and William look so handsome together. Mason is sure getting good at taking pictures. William looks so proud of his boy. These two are definitely the loves of my life! Thank You William for loving me and giving me this wonderful little boy.

Leaving for Arizona today

Well, I am busy getting everything packed and ready to go to Arizona for a week. I am so excited for this trip. It will hopefully not just be fun but relaxing too. Anyway, I thought I would make one last post before packing up my computer.

Last night, William and I went to his company Christmas party and it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. He works with a lot of really great people. And of course the entertainment was also pretty funny. They had a talent show with everyone who works at their office. Boy they have some real comedians. It was a fun night and I actually got to dress up a little for it so I had Makenna take a picture of us before we left. I think I looked better in person. Anyway, here is the picture...

Our Christmas Photo Shoot

We took family pictures at Sam's Club on Saturday for the first time since I first got pregnant with Mason. I know, it is about time! So since we were all dressed I decided to try out my tripod and remote for my new camera. Well, it was a little difficult getting a great smile from Mason since there was only a flashing camera to get his attention. But we did get a couple of good ones. I can't decide which ones to use in my Christmas cards. Please, tell me what you think.

Shall we go with the serious one or the funny face one?

So much to do and not enough time!

I am leaving on Wednesday to visit Arizona. Man I miss everyone! Anyway, I have laundry and some housework to do before I can pack. Then I have to get my Christmas cards done so I won't be so late getting them out. And of course I need to pack up presents for everyone in AZ and pack my scrap supplies. I plan to do some scrapping while I am in AZ since I have been scrapping alone since we moved. Looking forward to our annual MAS group Christmas party.

Tomorrow is William's company Christmas party and I just can't bear to send him alone since this is our first year to go. And everyone he works with are such fun and nice people that I think it will be a great time. I have some shopping to do before I leave. I "need" a new pair of boots. LOL! I guess to ease the stress I am feeling I need to make a list and just start checking things off so I feel prepared for this trip. YIKES! So excited to go! It will be fun. We have decided to stay until Tuesday afternoon! See you soon everyone!

My two latest creations...

Well, I have found time for two days in a row to scrapbook. It sure feels great! I haven't scrapped Emily in a while so I decided to scrap some for her book.

This first page is one of Emily's portraits that I had done at Kiddie Kandids in October. She looks so grown up and beautiful.

This next page I finished tonight and had a tough time with it. It was a Becky Higgins sketch and I decided to use this sketch because I wanted to fit as many of these photos on one layout as I could. 25 in all! Whew! On Wednesday this week Emily and I got dressed in our snow clothes and went outside to play together while Mason was sleeping. This was Emily's first time to play with decent warm clothes and gloves, so she was thrilled. I loved watching her play. It reminded me of how simple the lives of our children are. I wish I could play like this still and not feel so many pressures of life. She was a role model for me that day. And of course, I enjoyed spending time with her and playing and devoting 100% of my attention to her. I don't do this as much as I should and I have resolved to get better at it! I love you Emily!

My Christmas Decorations

This is a picture of my favorite nativity decoration. William's mom gave it to us for Christmas 2 years ago. It looks so beautiful and breakable but the awesome thing is that this is plastic or something like it. They aren't breakable.

This is what my front door looks like. Since I still don't have lights on the house and I have always loved pine garland mixed with lights I decided to add it to my door. I love the way it turned out. However the picture doesn't do it justice.

My stair banister all lit up. This was the only reason I really wanted stairs...to decorate them

If you look really closely at my tree you can see where Mason has gotten into the ornaments and taken them off and they have been put back on in clusters. So look for the bare spaces within his reach. This will tell you how tall he is now.

I was so excite to decorate a fireplace this year. I think it still needs more garland or greenery though. Some of these snowman pieces are the beginnings of a collection. Someday I want my house covered in Nativities and Snowmen.

It is sooo cold today...

William called this morning after he got to work and told me that the thermostat in the truck said -8 degrees.  Of course the sun wasn't up yet. But at 9 am when Amy has to walk to school, the sun hasn't warmed things up much.  You should have seen her all bundled up.  It was so cute.  If she wasn't running late for school I would have gotten a picture.  Emily wanted to get dressed and go out to play in the snow so I got her dressed and went out to play with her.  It actually wasn't cold when we were all bundled up and chasing eachother around with snowballs.  Well handfuls of snow cause it doesn't pack into balls very well.  In this picture you can see Emily's breath.  I thought that was pretty cool!

No tears for Santa

Well, this was the first year that I had no crying kids sitting with Santa. I couldn't believe it. Even Mason did not cry. Santa got some funny looks but no tears. I am very impressed that I even got a slight smile from Mason. Here are pictures of all four of them. These were taken at our ward Christmas party Saturday night.
