Christmas Kiss Page

This is my newest page in a Heritage Makers book I am making for myself. I got the sketch idea from the Triple the Sketch blog. I am publishing an 8x8 version of all my 12 x 12 scrapbook pages. I am including both digital and regular pages converted to digital format for publishing. I am so excited to see how this turns out. If it works perfect then I am going to make digital copies of all my scrapbooks so my mom and mother in law can have copies. It is way cheaper and easier than actually making three of each page. This page is done in the Heritage Makers Studio premier. The cool thing about it is they have beautiful pieces of artwork and the cost is only $20 per month. With no scrap store here in town and not much time to scrapbook this is a wonderful way for me to get my memories in a book fast. And it is still scrapbooked like I want. Oh and did I mention how much I used to spend each month on supplies that have been sitting around my house not getting used? About an average of $40 when I lived in Arizona (cause I actually scrapbooked more there). And about $20 or $30 a month in Utah. Don't think I am giving up my paper addiction. I love my chunky pages with all my beautil textures and yummy embellishments. I am just loving this digital designing right now and love to experiment on my computer. There is so much more freedom with digital pages. I can resize my pictures instantly and resize all my papers and embellishments too. And with all the really fun artists out there offering digital kits there is a HUGE variety of embellishments to choose from. Some digital pages I have seen I can't hardly tell they were done digitally either. Ok enough about that. What do you think of my page?

Kindergarten Program

First Things First... Here is a picture of the progress of our new home. It is time to start getting excited.
Ok next thing... Liberty has been totally entertained by playing puppy in Nicky's crate. Mason invaded her space in this picture but earlier in this day she spent about 30 minutes in the crate playing with Nicky and when I finally ran to grab my camera she noticed me leaving the room and got out to follow me. So much for that Kodak moment. Bummer!


In my previous post I mentioned that I was making mittens for the Kindergarten program. Well, thank heavens it was only two classes performing. I had to make mittens for 28 kids. That was a big chunk of my time during the busiest month of the year for me. But the kids were so cute. Another mom made these awesome puppy hats to go with.Click on the picture to make it bigger and see what a cutie Emily is on the stage in the middle.

Ok this is actually a little embarrassing. See the way Emily is dressed? She has almost grown out of all her white shirts again. See the belly hanging out? And her pants...well, these are the best blue jeans she has. This was the pair with the smallest holes in the knees. Amy never ripped out knees and Emily didn't either when we lived in Utah. I wonder if it is the sand on the playground. She must just be a very active kid at school cause man every pair of jeans she has are like this. She will have tons of cut off jeans for summer time for sure.

So Emily came home from school early yesterday. She felt ill. It must have been bad enough cause she chose to miss water day and a pizza party. The sad thing is that today she comes home with a graduation hat on and says mom I missed my graduation yesterday. UUUUGGHH! I totally forgot about the pot luck I was supposed to bring a main dish for. The teacher sends home this newsletter at the beginning of each week. Well somehow I got so busy that I totally missed seeing this until today. How totally terrible. I feel like the worst mom in the world for missing kindergarten graduation. So tomorrow I am taking her to school with her hat and certificate and taking a picture of her with her teacher. Now that is one for the memory book eh? I swear my brain is gone. First I am the worst tooth fairy ever and now this. What next?

Superhero Confusion...

I have said it before and I will say it again. Boys are soooooo different than girls. I am so busy trying to keep up with Mason but I love it for the most part. He is so funny to watch him play. Instead of mimmicking me and playing mommy with dolls, he is flying and jumping around the house. One day he thinks he is Superman, then he gets a Batman figure and decides he is Batman. I was making black mittens for Emily's kindergarten program and Mason saw the black material and asked me to make him a Batman mask. Well, I had enough left over that I was able to make a mask and cape for him and a second one for a friend to wear when they come over to play. He wears it everywhere, including to bed. Amy took a scrap piece from a mitten and made a cape for his Webkinz racoon Rascal. Mason thought that was so cool. As much as he loves Batman right now he also pretends he is Spiderman. This is him pretending to shoot webs at me. For all you family members that want to know what to get Mason for his birthday, he told me this morning that he wants a Batman shirt and a Spiderman shirt. I told him ask Grandma for it for his birthday. Haha! I bought him some Batman pj's with a cape. Maybe some costumes of super heros would be good so he will quit playing dress up as a girl.

Amy's baptism invite

Here is Amy's baptism invite I finished today. I will be emailing it out since I am so busy that paper invites are just not possible right now. Anyway, it was quick and easy to make and it still turned out pretty. If you want to come and didn't get emailed the invite with the address on it please call me and I will give you all the information that is blacked out.

Brownies, Dare, and potty training time

Well, after a year of being a Daisy Emily has crossed the bridge to Brownies. She looked so cute. She is excited to continue in Brownies with all her favorite friends here.

Makenna graduated from the D.A.R.E. (drug abuse resistance education) program last week. She loved learning everything they taught in this 8 week course at school. And I think a bunch of the 5th grade girls had crushes on the officer who taught them. Hehe!



















Liberty had started to actually get a little more interested in sitting on her potty seat. She also knows how to get herself completely undressed with no help. So I guess it is time to potty train her. She is 20 months old now so I guess I am ready too. It just snuck up on me. Wait maybe I will wait until we get back from visiting Shanna in Mississippi to start the training so we don't have any distruption in her schedule. We leave in the beginning of June and will be gone almost a week.

National Scrapbook Day again...

Today was National Scrapbook Day. I had big plans to scrapbook at least part of the day. But my kids had other plans. Last night I had Craft Club Enrichment meet at my house to make those frames in my previous post. We made a couple different kinds of frames and a plaque. I left everything out to finish some for myself this morning. So when I got up and started working my girls begged me to let them paint too. So I gave in and let them make name signs for their rooms. They had their friend Victoria stay the night so she made one too. Here is everything we did today.

I used my Wishblade to cut the vinyl on these projects. Since I had it out and was working on projects I decided that it was time to finally get the vinyl cut for the tile that has been sitting blank on my shelf since we moved here. It says "You Are My Everything"
