Reality is setting in this morning...

I have been up since 4:30 this morning. Liberty wanted a bottle. Stinker! I couldn't go back to sleep. We are expecting a serious offer today on our house. I have so many mixed feelings about it though. Without writing a book I can just say that there is a family with 3 girls and an older couple both looking seriously at our house. I feel sad cause the family is a better fit into our neighborhood but I am not sure how long it would take them to get into our house or if they are even SERIOUSLY considering an offer. The older couple wants to pay cash and move in by the end of September at the latest. So we are probably going to accept their offer.

This makes moving a reality. My heart is heavy today with thoughts of moving away from all the friends we have made here. We thought we were spending the rest of our lives here in Logan. This is a picture of me with some of my girlfriends here. This was our pedicure day. We went to lunch together then off to the beauty college to pamper our feet together. These are also my scrapbooking buddies. We are minus a couple girls who had to work during the day. I am gonna miss these gals! By the way, the matching colored clothes was purely coincidence, I promise.

I am excited about starting William's business and living near Williams family but I wish it could all be done here. I know everything will be ok but I am sad to leave. Ok better quit now before I cry. So keep your fingers crossed for us to get that offer through and get to be together again!

Is it Friday yet?

I am already having a terrible week. Maybe not so terrible but terribly crazy! I started on Saturday with a barfing baby. She was pretty sick. Sunday morning I kept her home from church and sent my three girls to church alone. (William is in NM, remember) After Makenna's class she was told to come home so I could get there to teach my class. Anyway, I had just changed Liberty's stinky diaper and left her pj's off while I went in to get ready for church. Liberty was really quiet while I was in doing that so I went to check on her and OH MY!!! I decided against posting the picture. I guess she wasn't finished pooping. She had taken off her diaper and scooted her bum around on the carpet, that I just had cleaned on Friday. And she painted herself with it! Not to mention the art she made on the child sized princess chair nearby. Gross stuff. She didn't throw up all day on Sunday so I thought she was feeling better. Monday morning I fed her a bunch of food. Then around lunch time she was getting lethargic so I decided I should feed her first then put her in bed for a nap. A few minutes after putting her in bed she started screaming. I let her cry for a minute or two then went in to check on her. I was so grossed out by what I saw I didn't get a picture of it. Let's just say she wasn't better and breakfast AND lunch came out everywhere!

So that was my morning yesterday. By the time the girls got home from school I made LONG lists of chores for them because they got grounded over the weekend. Makenna was babysitting while I went grocery shopping after the day care kids left, and the girls were doing chores when I left. Hmmm, so I thought. Makenna calls me and says "Dont be mad!" Great just what every mother wants to hear. She fessed up to dumping water in my Salt City candle because she couldn't blow it out. Then when I got home and was mowing the lawn (a job I haven't tried since junior high school I think), she almost starts the house on fire. Yeah she wanted to see a tissue on fire. "I didn't know it would burn THAT fast" she said. "I learned my lesson." Want to know my reply? I said "OH NO YOU DIDN'T." You aren't getting out of being punished and learning a lesson the hard way.

So I sent her to bed and this morning told her to go to school and after school we'll talk about her punishment. So she has to wait it out all day. I did tell her she is grounded today. And when she gets grounded when she already has a babysitting job for the neighbors, she has to do it for FREE! Oh no poor girl. So what would you do to teach her a lesson?

Ok and now for something a little more exciting and a lot less stressful... Before I wrecked the quad we had Angie Francis take our family pictures. Here are a few I loved. Thanks Angie for your talent. They turned out wonderful!

Ok so I thought I had downloaded more pictures so I will have to post the rest later after I pick out my favorites and save them off the disc Angie gave me. Oh and last thing...William comes home on Friday. He is staying for a week. Is it Friday yet?

First day of school, AT LAST!

We had one heck of a summer. I never realized how noisy my house was this summer until today when most of the noise makers where gone. It was a great to have the house lots more mellow. And would you believe almost no fighting today? Anyway, teh girls all wanted their hair wavy for the first day so we had to get an early start in order to get them out the door on time. Emily had assessments today and doesn't actually start until next Thursday. She can't wait. After getting to spend some time with her teacher and get to know her class room she is finally REALLY excited about school. She hardly talked about school until today. I think she didn't know what to expect and was really nervous and shy. Anyway, here were my beauties on their first day...
I didn't get a single picture of Amy looking at the camera. Dang. Oh well you still get the picture. She was so cute! These pictures are taken with my new cheaper camera. I think I need to adjust the white balance or something. Ok off to bed. Night!

Where is Harry?

Mason was not only gross and funny at the dinner table tonight but also cute and sweet before bed. I think sometimes he has a very short memory. Tonight he asked Where is Harry? I asked if he meant Carrie, cause he always calls her Harry. Anyway, when I said Carrie his eyes lit up and he got excited until I told him Carrie went back to school remember? He made the sweetest frowny face and said I want her! This is not the first time he has said he misses her. Those two were quite a pair this summer. I think she is most likely Mason's 3rd favorite person in the whole world. Here is a cute picture of Carrie and Mason at Willow Park zoo the last day that Carrie worked for me this summer. Thanks again Carrie, We all miss you so much!

Life with a little boy...

Life around here with Mason is always fun. But tonight is one of those nights where he said something I have to get in writing. We were eating dinner and Makenna pointed at a black spot on her cheese crisp and said, "Oooh it's burned." I told her it wasn't and she replied, "Then what is it?" Without skipping a beat Mason blurts out..."It's POOP!" We all cracked up laughing so off course he thought he was brilliant. What fun a boy is to have around. I sure pray Shanna has a baby boy.

Good News, Bad News

Ok the bad news first. I had a comparative market analysis done on our home. I am interviewing realtors to figure out if I really want to sell by owner. Anyway, he really opened my eyes to what I am dealing with in our market. So the Bad news was that the house needs to be priced at $360K. That is tons less than we thought. So instead of going to NM and buying right away we are most likely going to rent and build. We aren't loosing any money but we had hopes of making a little more than that on our house. Oh well, what we put into the house we did for ourselves since this WAS our last home. So we aren't going to get what we thought out of our upgrades. Much to William's dismay.

OK, want the good news? At that price we should be able to sell it right away. In fact an old neighbor of ours came by last Saturday to look at our home. They REALLY miss our neighborhood and want to move back. Well, theylike our house the best and are pretty interested. So we are talking prices and maybe we can get it sold to them. With a contingency of course. They have a house to sell too. However, that give me plenty of time to pack and time to enjoy the first month or two of school before moving. The girls will be excited to here they may get to stay longer than the end of September. Ok I will try not to count chickens yet. Please keep all your fingers and toes crossed for us.

Oh and one more thing. Click here to see pictures of my house I am selling. If you know anyone that wants to buy a home in Logan send them over.

Back at the homefront

Well, we are safely home thank heavens. William got sick with a migraine in Epraim, Utah. So I had to drive afterall. I must have stopped 6 or 7 times at the side of the freeway so he could vomit. Poor guy gets so sick with migraines. Anyway, we also got a flat tire on the trailer we were pulling so I pulled over to try and change it myself with William's guidance. Not happening. My elbow was so out of whack that I couldn't get any torq to loosen the lugnuts. We actually pulled off the freeway at the exit near my dad's house in North Ogden so I was able to call my dear Daddy to come save us. Yeah that is how sick William was. After changing the tire and tickling my kids a bit he had us back on our way. Thanks Daddy! I sure love you!

Ok now that we are home I am busy working on selling the house. Ryan helped me set up a web gallery for pictures. So if you want to check out what I have loaded so far you can see my house at http://www.920east.com/

I can't believe we are moving from this house already. We sure love it here.

Here is a picture of why William and I love to ride up the mountains behind our home. This is the view from up there and I finally got it off my camera to post here.

Which is worse?

Broken ribs or broken camera? Yeah I have both. So let me start at the beginning...

The day before William and I left for Las Cruces we went for our last ride together up the mountain behind our house. We got up there and it was the most beautiful day. I was so glad we made the time to go. I took my camera to take a few pictures of the view of the whole valley. Got some great pictures. Problem is they are stuck on my card until I can get them onto a disc. We were riding down the mountain a little fast so William could get back to work (he was taking a long lunch break.) Well as I am coming down over the rocks I started sliding forward on the bike... Ok, I am going to spare you the whole story of what happened and spare myself from typing it right now. I rolled the quad over myself and cracked a rib. No xrays so the doctor is just speculating and not wanting to adjust them until they feel a lot better. I also nearly dislocated my elbow of my left arm. The rib was on the right so both sides are in pain since I also have an enormous hematoma on my left hip and upper thigh. That means a giant bloody bruise. Anyway that thing is about 8 inches long and gross as can be. So I went to the chiropractor within an hour of the incident and the doctor set my elbow. YIKES!!! PAINFUL, I do dare to say almost as bad as child birth. The ribs I now think might only be bruised since it has only been one week and I feel much better there. I still have to hold my ribs to cough or sneeze but at least I can lift my kids ok which the first few days my doctor told me no way. On Wednesday evening I was getting up off the floor with Liberty in my arms and I twisted my elbow out again. Not all the way out so I can still function but the pain is constantly getting worse. I might need to find a doctor tomorrow to fix me up since I am in AZ until Sunday watching Shanna's kids so she could be in Mississippi for Kacie's baptism. Or maybe I just need to remember to take the ibuprofen the doctor told me to stay on until he sees me on Tuesday. I was fortunate to have a husband still around to take care of me. He was supposed to drive the van through Northern NM and meet me at his parents after I drove through Arizona to drop my kids off at Shanna's house for the week. Well the doc didn't want me to drive. He was afraid of me being unsupervised and having internal bleeding or something. Or breaking the cracked rib all the way through and puncturing the intestines. So William drove with me instead and is driving me all the way home. What a sweet man. He has to turn right around after taking me home and drive back to Las Cruces to meet his partners to get his business going. UGH! I put him behind a whole week. DANG! Ok well I better stop typing now until I take some pain meds. I will be back to update about our home searching.

Oh so the whole title pf my post led to me telling you I broke my camera when the quad rolled over me. YEAH this is the point where everyone should GASP! My Rebel XT. I think I would rather have all my ribs cracked than my camera. It is going to cost me $250 to get it repaired and 6 to 8 weeks. That is as long as the doc said it takes ribs to heal. Problem is I don't know where I am going to live in 6 to 8 weeks so I can't send it out for repair. How could I live without a camera for that long. So I went and bought one at Walmart the day we left. Hehe! I will post a picture of it later!
