A new day

Well, yesterday I didn't get much on that to do list done. I actually did go to Walmart and Staples and Micheals to get a few things I needed but while at Walmart I got a call from my neighbor whose grandson I watch when her daughter is really sick with her pregnancy. Anyway, Shayna was having lots of contractions. They had to take her to the hospital to stop the contractions since she is only about 24 or 25 weeks along. So I watched Ethan all afternoon instead of finishing my to do list. I can't get it done today either since the weather outside is so gross. Here is a picture I took this morning from my front porch.

I plan to get all the rest of my to do list done by Monday morning so I can enjoy a week of scrapping next week. Oh and tonight I actually have friends coming to scrap. It is finally becoming a regular thing. It took a year but oh well I have been really busy this past year anyway.

So for those of you who want to know about my speeding ticket let's just say I should never try to play basketball. It's actually a long rather boring story so if you really want to know then call me.

Liberty is getting to be so much fun to play with. She sits in her walker and jumperoo a lot now and when you talk to her she gets a huge smile. Here are a few cute pictures I took yesterday...

Sick has been good for me...

Well, sick has not felt good but it forced me to take a day off of my housework and just sit at my craft table and play. I made this for Shanna's Inspiration Friday challenge at her blog. Thanks for the inspiration Shanna. I actually got the idea from a Love Notes Box that Shanna made at Creative Escape this past summer. We plan to use this clipboard like she does her box. When we have something good to say about eachother or to eachother we can come here and leave a note for eachother. Sound fun? I think so.

So I have been on a roll with cards lately. I decided to start using my scraps to make cards BEFORE I clean up my table and file them away.

So my whole family, well the kids anyway, have been sick with Influenza. It has been miserable. That just means the real flu not stomach flu. So my head hurts and my bones ache. My throat is really itchy. I wish I could sleep for days, but I am way to busy to even sleep much at night.

On the list for tomorrow...
  1. Take stuff to my craft booth.
  2. Go grocery shopping.
  3. Do two loads of laundry.
  4. Finish Weekly challenge #3 at Keepsake Trends
  5. Go pay a speeding ticket. Yeah you read that right. But I don't want to talk about it.

Cowboy in Underpants

Well, we have been successful in potty training lately. I am afraid to say that for fear of jinxing myself. But Mason was dry most of the day yesterday and all day today. So tonight we are going to Walmart to buy some more big boy pants or as Mason calls them Undywear. Anyway, I gotta buy more before he ends up wearing pink panties instead of underoos! I am a proud momma today. I wanted to potty train him before he turned two but I wasn't up to the challenge. So now instead he is almost 2.5 years. I think that is alright for a boy in my opinion. Anyway, he was playing dress up last night and so I took some pictures cause he was so cute with the big belly and saggy britches.

Snow pics from Tammi's visit

These are some of my favorite pictures from when Tammi and her family came to visit us for Christmas. Thanks Tom for the pictures.

Make-up madness!

So when Makenna and Amy were younger I outlawed makeup in our home. Play make-up that is. And of course my girls aren't old enough for real make up yet. So the make up has been allowed a little now that Makenna is old enough to apply it lightly and they weren't smearing it all over my good towels when they take it off. So for Christmas the girls got make-up sets. Well, Emily is my Girly Girl. Here she is on Christmas day. Funny how she thinks this looks so beautiful.

Then last night the girls brought Mason upstairs to show him off to me and Dad. Well, of course dad was mortified. Me? I grabbed the camera. This poor boy lets his sisters do anything to him as long as they play with him. Good thing he is too young to know how awful this is. I hope he doesn't end up being a cross-dresser. You can tell by his face he was having a great time with all the attention.

LIfe comes at you FAST!

Ok so I am still wondering when I am going to finishe cleaning my house and my craft room. I need to finish laundry and organizing my bedroom and Liberty's room. I did get Christmas put away last Saturday but since then I have had Me, Mason, Amy, and Makenna sick. It is hard to tell with Liberty since she is such a puker already. Anyway, last night I was feeling pretty good and got my craft room mostly cleaned. I had plans to finish after getting kids in bed. I have to get this all done soon so I can scrap again for my sanity. Well, after saying family prayer and kissing everyone goodnight Mason wanted me to take him to bed. So I was carrying him down the stairs and guess what...I lost my footing somehow. It is sort of a blur to me. It happened so fast. I went down right onto my lower spine and ouch. I was ok to move around still but my muscles were quickly stiffening up so I got some ice and went to bed.

Today I am off to get an adjustment and feel better. And hopefully house work is on the list of things accomplished today. I need some me time after giving so many baths and changing bedding and diapers so much yesterday. UGH! I wish life would slow down just a hair. But I am enjoying it anyway.
