Portrait Lighting
For those of you who are curious about how I did my lighting, here is your answer. I have three large windows in my living room. And they are directly across from the banister to my staircase. I drape my backdrop fabric, in this case black canvas, over the banister. I have a separate piece of fabric to cover any props for holding the baby. I used the Boppy pillow to support her. Then I used a pink blanket over that and in the pics with the petals I used the white blanket. The lighting is great in that spot in my home as long as I take the pictures before noon. I usually try taking the photos with and without flash. This time I forgot and left the flash on. So that is all the light I used. It is very much like setting up a photo shoot in your garage to avoid harsh sunlight. Thanks everyone for all the comments and Good luck to those who try taking your own photos soon.

I used that tutorial to make the lightbox I used for these shots:

Looks like those links didn't work, let's see if these do Click here for the tutorial and Click here to see how I used the tutorial.
Thanks Deanna! I'm going to give it a try!
