This was the first Christmas that we were able to have our own nativity play. It was very unorganized and the kids were very rowdy but it was fun to dress them up. Mason and Liberty were shepherds and Emily was a wisegirl. Makenna was Mary and Amy was an Angel. We had William's brother Daniel and his family here so Taylor got to be Joseph and little Shanna got to be the baby Jesus.
Every year on Christmas Eve we let our kids open one present each. Last year we started a tradition of making that gift a pair of pj's. So here is a picture of all our kids in their Christmas pajamas.

This next picture is of Liberty in a santa hat I got at the dollar store. She didn't really like wearing it much and getting her to smile for the camera is almost impossible. But getting her to give me kisses was much easier. Daddy got some too.

Another tradition we have on Christmas Eve is to hide a glass pickle on the tree and in the morning before anything else my kids go hunt for it and the first to find it gets an extra gift. Last year Savanna found it so I got to hide it this year. But next year Emily will get to hide it and not be allowed to look for it the next morning. However, she will get to go shop for the present with me.
Here is the loot my kids got from Santa...
