September 5, 2008 in Arizona!

Friday we went to Arizona to meet my brother Casey at the airport. He just finished serving a two year mission for our church in Lisbon, Portugal. He left about 12 days before Liberty was born so this was a first for him to see her. Mason was so excited to see him again. We all were, but Mason has been talking a lot about being a missionary when he gets big. And, he no longer wants his hair spiked when I do it. He tells me comb it like a missionary. Anyway, we had a bunch of family gathered in the airport to meet him when he got off the plane. We were ready and waiting to take pictures and guess what he did. First I have to say that I have never seen a missionary who came home in anything but a dark suit. Casey gets off the plane wearing a light tan suit and a golfer looking hat he got in Portugal. He walked right up in front of me and said hello. None of us recognized him until he said something. Stinker. So much for pictures of him coming off the ramp.
First and most important was his first hug from mom in two whole years. He is a mama's boy so I bet this felt great for them both.

Hillary and Casey are very close friends as well as brother and sister. She is so excited. I bet you can't tell from the picture though.

So we spent the next two days with family and getting reacquainted with Casey. I am so proud of him and I am glad to see him home safe and sound.

The next couple of pictures were taken in the airport while we waited...and waited!

This is my cousin Carrie. Mason adores her. He was so darn excited to see her that I think it almost ranked up there with the Christmas morning experience for him.

This is Hillary, my little sister, and her new boyfriend, Dave. I think there will be an official announcement soon enough. We all liked this guy.
